How to Apply

As part of the application process, we’ll ask you a few questions (these may vary depending on the role) and invite you to upload a CV that outlines your work experience and qualifications.

One key question we ask that will be part of the scoring process is:
“Please give examples of how your skills, abilities, and experience equip you for this role. We’d also like to understand your reasons for applying.”

These questions take the place of a traditional cover letter and give you the chance to show why you’re a great fit for the role you’re applying for. Your responses will play an important part in the overall scoring process, so we encourage you to take your time and answer as fully as you can.

When preparing your answers, we recommend using the job description and person specification as a guide, as they’ll help you highlight the skills and experience most relevant to this role.

We understand that everyone communicates differently, so you can choose the format that works best for you. This could be a written application, or you might prefer to record a video or audio file instead. If you choose video or audio, please keep your CV and application combined to no longer than 7 minutes.

If you need any support or have questions about the process, we’re here to help! Email us at recruitment@sheffieldtheatres.co.uk
