Sheffield Theatres are seeking ASM Book Covers for two key productions in the forthcoming 2025/2026 Season. 

 

ASM Book Cover A Christmas Carol, Crucible Theatre 

Contract Dates: Monday 17 November 2025 to Saturday 10 January 2026 

Salary: Equity conditions & rate of £579.25 per week applies, subsistence will be paid at £235.00 per week. 

 

The Assistant Stage Manager (Book Cover) will join the team at the end of the rehearsal process and learn the Resident Assistant Stage Manager’s show plot & the Deputy Stage Manager’s show call plot with a view to cover scheduled performances as well as emergency cover. They will participate in the stage management set up going into Tech and strike at the end of the run.    

 

Ideal candidates will have experience in: 

  • working in a regional repertory theatre  

  • supporting the requirements of the production     

  • achieving the highest standards in stage management 

  • managing petty cash and working within budget 

  • Book Cover calling to a safe and consistent degree 

  • Producing clear and concise show paperwork

Contract Dates: Monday 16 February to Saturday 28 March 2026
